During the 2025-26 school year, Accelerate commissioned independent evaluations of AI-powered tools under real classroom conditions. Over the next few months, we will publish a synopsis of every study, whether the findings are encouraging, disappointing, or inconclusive.
Since Accelerate launched in 2022, we have funded more than 100 studies, including nearly 40 randomized controlled trials. With each new set of studies, our approach to research has evolved.
Classroom observations are representative of our commitment to ensuring a bridge between evidence and action. Since 2023, Accelerate staff have visited schools across 32 cities in 19 states and the District of Columbia.

We selected 11 grantees with tools focused on math and literacy that serve students from PK through grade 12. Together, grantees operate across 45 states.

The Call for Effective Technology (CET) is a grant program that supports the implementation and evaluation of promising AI-powered and educational technology tools that strengthen personalized learning and instructional effectiveness in public schools.
Together, these investments build stronger evidence on tutoring and classroom technology while helping states and districts put proven strategies into practice.
