They will utilize Funnix, a computer-based program in which a teaching assistant, parent, or volunteer leads a child through activities directed by the narrator in the program. Values to Action, in conjunction with Oregon Research Institute, will conduct an evaluation of their intervention model through a randomized control trial with 600 kindergarteners struggling to read.
