The Call to Effective Action (CEA) empowers innovative tutoring and individualized instruction models that have the potential to create a substantial impact on student reading and math outcomes, especially in historically underserved communities. Emphasizing scalability, grantees complete a research-driven evaluation of program impact as part of their collaboration with Accelerate.

The States Leading Recovery (SLR) grant program partners with state education agencies to identify strong tutoring models, offer subgrants to districts to adopt these models, and develop a regulatory framework to ease this adoption. SLR grantees develop criteria for eligible tutoring models, encourage adoption through district guidance and support, and participate in rigorous research to assess tutoring impact.

The Evidence for Impact (EFI) grant is a highly selective opportunity targeted at organizations ready to fill known research gaps in high-dosage tutoring. By continuously addressing specific research gaps, we will support the generation of nuanced knowledge for the field about what works, for whom, under what conditions, and at what cost – enabling more informed policy and practice decisions that can benefit millions of students nationwide.

The Call for Effective Technology (CET) grant program identifies and supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of promising AI-powered and educational technology tools that enable personalized learning and instructional effectiveness for public school students, with a focus on improving academic outcomes in mathematics and reading while ensuring equitable access across diverse student populations.
