2025 CET Grantees

Accelerate is proud to support the organizations below through our inaugural Call for Effective Technology.

Each grantee is paired with an independent research partner to assess usability, fit with the school day, and early student progress. Findings will guide Accelerate’s work to set clear quality standards, helping schools integrate classroom technology with confidence. Grants range from $150,000 to $200,000.

EnlightenAI

EnlightenAI, developed within the Teaching Lab Studio, is an AI-powered grading assistant that helps teachers save time while delivering personalized, rubric-aligned feedback and instructional insights. It learns from each educator’s scoring and feedback style to scale their expertise rather than replace it.

Goblins

Goblins lets schools give every student 1-on-1 math support. With Goblins, math learners speak out loud or hand-draw their thinking, and Goblins figures out the “why” behind their confusion, building their conceptual foundation in real-time.

IMMERSE

IMMERSE is an interactive 3D language learning platform where students can practice real-world conversations in safe, engaging virtual environments. With AI-powered tutors and immersive scenarios, students build confidence and fluency while having fun.

LitLab.ai

LitLab.ai is an AI-powered foundational reading platform that makes practice more differentiated, joyful, and curriculum-aligned. Built by literacy specialists, researchers, and former educators, LitLab equips teachers with high-quality decodable content, personalized fluency practice for students, and actionable data to accelerate literacy growth.

Paloma Learning

Paloma is a mobile app that accelerates K-2 learning by enabling parents to provide 15 daily minutes of curriculum-aligned instruction at home. Last year — in districts like HISD, LAUSD, & Metro Nashville —76% of K-2 families tutored their kids using Paloma, boosting reading growth by 41% and math by 39%.

Quill.org

Quill.org’s mission is to help students become strong writers, readers, and critical thinkers by providing free, AI-powered literacy tools that deliver immediate, personalized feedback. Since our founding in 2014, more than 11 million students, the majority in under-resourced classrooms, have used Quill to build their literacy skills, receiving feedback on over 3 billion sentences. Quill’s tools are intentionally designed to support equity by providing students with the kind of real-time, revision-based writing instruction that only one-on-one coaching could previously offer.

Teaching Lab

Teaching Lab’s mission is to transform teacher professional learning to ensure educational equity. Its focus is on scaling high-impact, curriculum-based professional learning and coaching, with the specific goal of improving outcomes for marginalized student populations. Teaching Lab serves over 10,000 teachers per year across the country.

Third Space Learning

Third Space Learning’s spoken AI math tutor, Skye, provides high-dosage tutoring to elementary, middle, and high schools across the US and UK, helping schools close the math achievement gap by offering scalable, research-based, high-dosage tutoring at $150 per student, 90-95% cheaper than traditional human-led tutoring. Built on evidence-based learnings from over 2 million human tutoring lessons, spoken AI tutor Skye offers personalized instruction aligned with state standards to support classroom teaching and boost students’ math achievement.

The University of Utah (the U) is a leading public research university driving innovation through the responsible advancement of artificial intelligence in research, education, and societal impact. The College of Education at the U fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to design, develop, and deploy AI solutions ethically and effectively, with a focus on advancing teaching and learning and preparing the next-generation workforce.
